Driving excitement like never before

New Dynamic Force 2.5-liter engine delivers high output and world-class combustion efficiency owing to the introduction of components such as VVT-iE, while the 2.0-liter engine achieves at thermal efficiency of 40% and balances fuel efficiency with throttle response.

Direct shift 8AT delivers a direct shift feel in a range of driving scenarios. The transmission yields smooth and linear gear changes, as well as supreme quietness and top-class fuel economy performance.

By offering a choice of three drive modes (MUD&SAND / NORMAL / ROCK&DIRT) via the dial-type switch, this system lets you obtain optimum traction on varying surfaces, helping drivers enjoy secure, sure-footed control.

Underpinning the new RAV4 is the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform. It’s the first time its been used for an SUV and, in the RAV4, it contributes to supple and engaging ride, as well as a spacious interior with class-leading load space.

A large 7-inch multi-information display is installed in the center of the instrument cluster. The display provides a whole range of driver support information to enhance driving pleasure.

The LED headlamps, standard on all models, bathe the road ahead with a more natural tone of light. LED’s provide excellent distribution of light, contributing to good visibility and safety at night.

Along with plenty of useful and easily accessible storage for the driver and front passenger, the load space behind the rear seats is notably bigger thanks to a fully flat floor that’s 60mm longer than the previous generation’s. It now boasts a best-in-class capacity of 580 litres (a 79 litre improvement).
